The Test Engineer II is an experienced professional responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software, hardware, or other products. They work closely with the development team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the product.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Secret level. 

  • Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract  

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

  • Experience with CAD software and MATLAB.

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810 test procedures.

  • Familiarity with spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned. 

  •  Assists the lead engineer or test manager in the design, set up, and execution of MIL-STD-461 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) lab and aircraft testing.

  • Assists in the design and development of airborne instrumentation systems and video systems.

  • Assists the lead engineer or test manager in design, set up, and execution of altitude, hot, cold, humidity, explosive atmosphere, rapid decompression, acceleration, drop, salt fog, sand, dust, and rain chamber testing in accordance with current military and other standards for developmental and non-developmental aeromedical equipment.

  • Assists in writing reports suitable for publication as USAARL technical reports and/or open literature scientific papers, based on the studies conducted.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering ,Electrical Engineering preferred, and a minimum of two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
