SUMMARY

The Full Stack Developer III supports the Department of Clinical Research and Informatics to design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications, including front-end applications, back-end services, servers, and databases. Builds high-performing web applications that interact with large amounts of data and supports scalable, flexible, and dynamic websites and web-based solutions. Helps coordinate development activities, maintains code integrity, and mentors less experienced developers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Demonstrates strong knowledge of modern front-end frameworks, component-based architecture, state management, and responsive design.
 

Well versed with information systems to include; PQS/PRIA/PEARLS (PROTRAK Query System – ASP.NET MVC 5), 4th Dimension Databases (PROTRAK/SACRED 4D Database), a multitude of web applications (Multiple Flavors of .NET, Simple VB, Ruby On Rails)

Established in coding in a Clinical/Medical environment

Ability to convert a very large and complex existing 4D application to a web-based MVC 5 application.  This system will have to be compliant with multiple existing systems and send updates to multiple existing systems.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

High level SQL Coding Skills focusing on data acquisition and manipulation.

Advanced Web Design Knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Advanced Markup Language Knowledge (JSON, XML)

Advanced skills in ASP.NET Coding Languages (VB, C#), ASP.NET Coding Practices (MVC 5+), 4D Database technology large plus including: Updating UI, Methods, Exporting Data

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Designs, develops, tests, and maintains front-end and back-end application components.

Builds high-performing web applications that interact with large datasets, APIs, services, and databases.

Contributes to the overall architecture of web applications and recommends technical solutions.

Develops scalable, flexible, and dynamic websites, portals, and application features.

Ensures application quality, responsiveness, reliability, and maintainability.

Writes efficient, secure, and reusable code that follows established standards and best practices.

Troubleshoots and resolves complex application defects and performance issues.

Supports database design, optimization, data modeling, and query performance.

Participates in architecture discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.

Provides technical guidance and support to junior developers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years’ of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $135K to $145K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
